The materials I used were cardstock paper, ribbon, sharpie, and glue. I didn't base my artwork off of anyone I just took some paper and cut it into different patterns nd randomly glued them down.

My artwork is a painting of some trees with mountains behind them and a river running through the middle of all of it. I created my artwork by first looking up some ideas online to get some inspiration of what I wanted my painting to look like. I then did a few sketches in my sketchbook and decided what one that I liked best. Next, I very lightly drew my idea out onto the canvas. Then, once I got it to how I wanted it to look I went over it again so the lines were a bit darker. After that I started painting and finished it up. The big idea behind my artwork is that it was a pretty scene and I like the outdoors idea of the painting. My goals for the artwork were to make a good quality painting of an outdoor landscape. My overall thoughts of my own artwork are that I like it but it could be a little better. I might take some time to tweak a few things yet to just get a little more into the painting and make it look just a bit better.
The first studio habit would be reflect. My river in my painting did not turn out how I expected it to. I need to fix it and make it look like it's not going up into the sky. The second studio habit would be envision. I thought about what I wanted my landscape painting of and how I wanted it to look. I also looked on the internet for some inspiration.
